Where are we located?

We’re on the corner of Williston Ave and Minnesota St. just southwest of downtown Waterloo.  Parking is available in the parking lot just east of the church facility across from Minnesota St.  You can see a map here.

What should I wear?

Dress in whatever you feel the most comfortable in.  Some folks come wearing ties and dresses and others come in shorts and t-shirts!  We want you to come as you are since God is more interested in your heart than the type of clothing that you wear.  

What is the Sunday morning schedule?

Prayer meeting:  8:30 – 9:00 AM.   We gather together for corporate prayer for one another, for our missionaries, and for our church body.

Discipleship Classes:  9:00 – 9:45 AM.   We offer classes for all ages, pre-school through adults.  Currently our adult classes include:

• Ambassadors – This class is studying the book, “The Coming Economic Armageddon” by David Jeremiah.
• Body Builders – A modular class currently studying Systematic Theology.  You must sign-up for this class in advance in order to attend.
• Learning Through Leading – Learn how to better study God’s Word by taking a turn in preparing a lesson and leading the class.
• Scripture Discovery – This class covers various Scripture passages with an eye for everyday life application.

Worship service: 10:15 – 11:30 AM.  Join us as we worship our great God through song and the preaching of God’s Word.

What should I expect?

You should expect to meet a fellowship of Christians of all ages who will warmly welcome you. Expect an uplifting, Christ-centered, contemporary worship style with a mix of newer worship songs and theologically rich hymns.  Expect expository sermons that dig deep into the meat of God’s Word.  We are currently preaching through the book of 1 Corinthians.

What about my children?

We offer two Nurseries – one for children up to 18 months and a second for children 18 months through 3 years of age.  Besides the Sunday school classes mentioned previously, we have Children’s Church classes for kids ages 3-11.  Children are released for Children’s Church during the middle of the service, just before the sermon.  Of course, if you do not feel comfortable doing this, you are free to keep your children with you during the entire service.  Since the safety and security of children are a high priority for us, everyone who works with children must successfully pass a criminal background check.

Grace Brethren Church is a friendly church.  We hope to make you feel welcome and at ease as you join us in worship.  Be assured we will not embarrass you by asking you to speak, read or pray aloud.
